Masa Azul is the culmination of many years of planning and dreaming (as well as plenty of drinking and eating!) Partners and best friends Jason Lerner, Executive Chef Alvaro Chavez and Valerie Lerner bring their passion to Logan Square with this modern take on Southwestern cuisine, tequila, and mezcal! 

Within this casual, upscale and energetic atmosphere, you can expect an experience that will carry you to the modern Southwest with an urban edgeMasa Azul translates to "blue corn dough" and you will find its influence in flavors and textures Executive Chef/Partner Alvaro Chavez has created.  Partner Jason Lerner, a noted "Tequila Geek",  brings his mastery and total respect for tequila, sotol, and mezcal to his bar creating unique cocktails to best complement Chef Alvaro's cuisine.  Jason has created two of the Top 25 Tequila Bars in America as listed in the USA Today Tequila Appreciation supplement by Mediaplanet.
